Constantly crushes

I just got a book loan for two weeks and for some stupid idea decided to upgrade your software. Now I simply cannot read the book which loan expires in two weeks. Every time I try to launch it, the application crushes. Thank you very much for these guys, and please repair it very quickly.

Second, the interface for selecting something and highlighting the text is extremely awkward and irresponsive. Moreover, every time I do seem to be able to almost succeed in selecting something the application simply crashes.
